GIF Splitter
Extract individual frames from an animated GIF. The output is a ZIP containing lossless PNG images.

Browser-first GIF processing.
GifShaper reads your file on this device, decodes the animation, applies the selected change, and rebuilds a new output. The source file is not sent to a conversion server by the tool.
GIF is a palette-based animation format, so rebuilding can slightly change colors. Use 256 colors when visual detail matters most, or fewer colors when file size matters more.
Built for ordinary web GIFs.
- GIF inputs are capped at 50 MB.
- Very large frame counts can use substantial browser memory.
- Processing speed depends on your device.
- Keep the tab open until the output is finished.
Before you process.
What format are the frames?
Each extracted frame is saved as a PNG inside one ZIP download.
Does splitting change the original GIF?
No. It only reads and decodes the original in your browser.
Why is there a frame limit?
Hundreds of full-resolution PNGs can consume a large amount of memory. The cap keeps the tool safer on ordinary laptops and phones.
