Check GIF Frames, Duration & FPS
See the technical details of an animated GIF before you compress, convert, or extract its frames.

Read the GIF structure without changing it.
The inspector decodes GIF metadata and frame timing locally, then calculates duration, average FPS, average frame delay, loop behavior, and data rate from the source file.
Useful before optimization.
The inspector is intentionally read-only. Use the linked compressor, exact-size pages, frame extractor, or GIF-to-MP4 converter when you are ready to change the file.
Common questions.
How is GIF FPS calculated?
GIFs store frame delays rather than one fixed FPS value. GifShaper reports an average FPS based on frame count divided by total animation duration.
What does infinite loop mean?
A loop value of 0 in the common Netscape GIF extension means the animation is intended to repeat indefinitely.
Is the report uploaded?
No. The GIF report is calculated in your browser.
